CNC Horizontal Machinist

Full-time, Permanent

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Using Mazak, Doosan, Horizontal machines
  • Editing of CNC Programs for the effective machining of components.
  • Setting and operating of the machines to prove out first off and production.
  • Working in a team to achieve agreed targets.
  • To manage work load in an effective manner.
  • Entering data onto Routing Sheets, operating tickets and bespoke software.
  • Return of drawings, fixtures and tooling to correct locations after use.
  • To fulfill all set tasks as per company objectives.
  • To ensure production is carried out against related documentation to ensure product conformity. Any issues or concerns to be reported to immediate Manager, Quality or technical Engineer.
  • To work alongside management to meet set quality objectives and continuing improvements. including reduction in scrap rates.

Qualifications and skills required: Minimum of 3 years previous experience, or Industry recognised certification in CNC machining.
Salary: Competitive salary on offer, hourly paid.
Basic Hours: 39 per week, 08.00 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 15.30 Friday.


TIG Welder/Fettling Operative

Full-time

Role and Responsibilities:

  • The main role will be within our Fettling department for the grinding of engineering castings with some daily time spent Welding as required.
  • You will need to have previous welding experience. Basic knowledge of TIG welding will be an advantage as additional training will be given.
  • Competent with the use of hand held and static grinding equipment.
  • Effective communication with Management and colleagues.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to follow instructions given by line Supervisor/Manager.
  • Work to high standards and targets.
  • Work to customer specifications for Fettling, measure key characteristics of parts after Fettled process.
  • Adhere to safe working practice in accordance with company PPE policies and Health & Safety Policies.
  • Quality and quantity checks to be performed on fettled product.
  • To undertake training if required.
  • Excellent time and attendance is required.

Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience is preferable but not essential.
Hours: Basic 39 hour week, Monday to Thursday 07.00 – 15.30 and Friday 07.00 – 14.30
Salary: Competitive Salary, hourly paid.


CNC Machinist/Operator

Full-time

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To produce machined parts by setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards, equipment and supplies.
  • Setting and operating accurately to ensure the manufacture of the component parts to the drawing.
  • Entering data onto Routing Sheets/Operating Tickets and Computer.
  • Ensuring that you have all the correct parts and drawings are available to carry out the job.
  • Recording set- up process and carrying out regular machine checks.
  • Reporting any quality issues to Management.
  • Effective communications and report any problems straight away.
  • Being flexible, a good team member and positive.
  • Working in a team to develop machining strategy.
  • Specify and procure tooling requirements.
  • Manage work load in a effective manner.
  • Returning drawings, fixtures and tooling to correct locations after use.
  • Any other task required to fulfil company objectives.
  • To ensure production is carried out against the related documentation to standard to ensure product conformity, and that any issues or concerns are report to immediate Manager or Quality or Technical Engineer.
  • To work with management to meet quality objectives and improvements, including continuous improvement, reduction in scrap rates.
  • To undertake training where necessary to accomplish the above.

Hours: Basic 39 hour week, Monday to Thursday 08.00 – 16.30 and Friday 08.00 – 15.30

CNC Offline Programmer

Full-time, Permanent

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create programs for Fanuc, Mazak Heidenhain machining centres.
  • Create and maintain tooling methods.
  • Maintain job routing.
  • Able to operate and program machines.
  • Be effective with current machining methods to maximize machining capabilities./li>
  • You will be using modern equipment to produce orders in a variety of materials assisted by CAD/CAM.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of work holding, tooling, speed and feeds, quality awareness and time management.
  • Experience and knowledge in creating CAD/CAM programs.
  • Be competent in FANUC controls, Heidenhain.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe environment.
  • Work to tight deadlines/schedules.
  • Be able to work independently under pressure.
  • To have a flexible forward thinking approach.
  • Problem solve when required.
  • To be involved in Management meetings.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • PC literate, with knowledge of MS Windows applications (Excel & word).
  • Enthusiastic, team player.
  • Must have excellent time and attendance record.

CAM Programmer

Full-time, Permanent

Role and Responsibilities: You will be involved in writing programs, performing setups, operating vertical CNC mills to manufacture patterns/moulds/tools for Sand Foundry as well as other functions in the manufacturing of aluminium machining from solid. Using Delcam PowerMill.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of 3 axis machining.
  • Be able to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Have a good knowledge of materials and machining techniques.

The successful CNC Programmer should also meet the following criteria, however training can be given:

  • Experience using Delcam PowerMill (preferred).
  • Proficiency in computer programming and basic IT systems.
  • Knowledge of programming Heidenhain and Fanuc.
  • Surface milling of patterns/tooling.
  • Create 3D drawings and CNC programs using provided software.
  • Machining of various materials including resin board and aluminium.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Flexible and supportive.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good time management and attendance are essential.
  • Ability to work unsupervised within a small team environment.

Hours: Basic 39 hour week, 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3:30pm Friday

CNC Vertical Machinist

  • Heidenehain/HAAS Control.
  • Writing/Editing CNC Programs for the effective machining of components.
  • Setting and operating of CNC machines to prove out first off and production.
  • Working in a team to achieve agreed targets.
  • To manage work load in an effective manner.
  • Entering data onto Routing Sheets, operating tickets and bespoke software.
  • Return of drawings, fixtures and tooling to correct locations after use.
  • To fulfill all set tasks as per company objectives.

  • The ideal candidate should have a proven track record and previous experience with Heidenhain Control.
  • To have a good understanding of geometric tolerances and a methodical method of working, including problem solving when required.
